The third largest nature park in South Tyrol is ideal for leisure activities in the alpine landscape. About 250 kilometres of mountain biking trails meander through the alpine areas of the Val Badia. The Fanes-Cortina-Sennes Tour is a bike path that runs right through the nature park and enjoys great popularity with holidaymakers thanks to its varied route course. The Fanes Alp and Sennes Alp are beautifully situated hiking destinations during your vacation at Plan de Corones. In the summer months, the high plateaus fascinate with their alpine meadows. Typical of the region are the so-called “Viles”. Lake Braies:A pearl of nature
Lake Braies is a natural pearl, surrounded by the high peaks of the Dolomites. Not without good reason it is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in South Tyrol. It is surrounded by a magnificent hiking trail network. Again and again during your walks you will notice the fantastic view on Lake Braies. A relaxed walk with gentle slopes takes you all around the lake. The crowning glory of this natural experience during your hiking holiday in the Dolomites is a romantic boat ride on the crystal clear lake. Very fit hikers can embark on a seven-hour adventure at Lake Braies. The hiking trail leads from the lake to Sass dla Porta and back. On the summit you will be rewarded with a vertical view on the lake. Lake Braies can be reached from the farm Cone da Val via Passo Croce on foot.

Fantastic views and an unspoilt natural landscape await you during a hike from our farm on foot to Lago dei Colli Alti and our local mountain Piz da Peres, where you can also admire the Three Peaks. The 2507 meter mountain is located directly across Plan de Corones and on the summit you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Alps. The ascent takes about 3-4 hours. On the Fanes Plateau you’ll find unique geological rock formations. Deep gorges and bizarre shapes dominate the landscape on the plateau. Rushing mountain streams make their way through the jagged region. Under the massif of the Conturines only in 1987 the famous bear cave was discovered.

These are accessible by lift and lead from the Plan de Corones peak and from Piz de Plaies into the valley. The highlight of bicycle tours is the circumnavigation of the Sella Massif. The route from San Vigilio to Plan de Corones, a part of the Giro d’Italia, is a welcome challenge for street bikers as well as for mountain bikers.
